KEY PROJECT EXPERIENCE:

  • Managed site operations for a $17.2 million soil and groundwater remediation project at a former Copper Products Refinery Site in Maspeth, NY. Key work elements included removal, T&D of 20,000+ tons of hot spot contaminated soil and debris (PCB/RCRA/TSCA); removal and off-site disposal of ~200 lf of damaged dock; and installation of sheet piling and a multi-layered armoring system. 40' soldier piles and a 3' lagging wall were installed to reinforce the site’s existing bulkhead wall. The armoring system incorporated geotextile filter fabric and 12 to 16 inches of riprap. Concrete keystones also were installed at the base of the creek.
  • Directed field operations in support of a $2.9 million coal tar impacted site remediation project for Iroquois Gas Transmission Systems/ENSR at the ConEdison Compressor Station at Hunts Point. Work included characterization, excavation, T&D of 20,000 cy of coal tar contaminated materials. Sediment dewatering and stabilization were key elements of this project.
  • Supervised a high-visibility, $1.6 million remediation project at the College Towers Site in Jersey City. Project involved excavation and removal of ~14,000 cy of contaminated soils from various areas within the occupied residential building complex. Work also included installation of a sheet barrier containment wall around the excavation areas at a distance of 24' from the building foundations to serve as an engineering control against future contamination.
  • Managed a $3.4 million plant closure including decon and dismantling of process equipment and production areas at a manufacturing facility in Jersey City, NJ.
  • Managed a $1.2 million facility decontamination and hazardous waste removal project including lab packs and low level radioactive materials in Newark, NJ.
  • Managed a $1.1 million remedial action project (excavation, transportation and disposal of contaminated soils; installation of a 2' surface cap) at an industrial site in Southington, CT.
