KEY PROJECT EXPERIENCE:

  • Direct sales personnel located in CODE's corporate and regional offices. Service CODE's repeat customer base of Fortune 500 Corporations, engineering firms, private businesses, public corporations, utilities, real estate developers, and government agencies. Investigate and initiate new business opportunities for CODE (i.e., the company's high hazard waste handling program).
  • Developed business opportunities worth $6.5+ million in first six months with ENSCO. Worked extensively on the Goose Farm Superfund Site project in New Egypt, NJ. The PRP (Morton Thiokol) eventually employed Mr. Brown as an independent consultant to oversee the site cleanup. Spent five months as the site coordinator and served as a liaison between the USEPA and NJDEP.
  • Developed a national accounts program targeted at Fortune 100 companies for Waste Conversion, Inc. Generated business opportunities with Mobil Oil, General Electric, W.R. Grace, Morton Thiokol, Ciba-Geigy and other major corporations throughout the country.
  • Developed of new handling methods for drilling spoils from Tyson's Superfund Site in King of Prussia, PA. These new methods involved dewatering the drilling mud in a phase-separation system without the use of solidification or fixation agents.
  • Won BFI's President's Club Award for Outstanding Sales by generating $7 million in annual sales during the 1983/1984 fiscal year. Major accomplishments included the Ciba-Geigy landfill cleanup in Toms River, NJ; the NJDEP Burnt Fly Bog PCB disposal project; the Duane Marine cleanup in Perth Amboy, NJ; and numerous other federal, state and industrial projects. Worked with BFI's engineering department to develop new methods for handling powdery materials so that transfer of these products would not result in a release to the environment.
  • Conducted extensive research into pesticide persistence in plants and chemical coatings development for Mobil. Actively involved in the generation of detailed analytical data to support the creation of the first Synthetic Motor Lubricant, "Mobil 1".
  • Conducted extensive sampling and research in the Delaware and Chesapeake Bays. One study analyzed the effect of acid rain on lakes in and around Dover, Delaware. Also studied the effects of fertilizers and eutrophication in those lakes.
